I actually think that the G6 GT has great handling. When i bought it i had to drive about 45 minutes back home on a very curvy road and i had never had so much fun in a car in all my life.
Yes, the GT does have an upgraded suspension that includes a thicker direct acting front stabilizer bar, enhanced steering rack bushing, thicker rear stabilizer bar, Full Function Traction System, 4-wheel antilock, 4-wheel disc brakes. Reference: http://www.pontiac.com/g6sedan/specs_performance.jsp
