this is my first time posting on here but have to say i love this site for all the info i do get to help aid me with fixing my G6 GT

Ok so my problem is that i have a 2008 G6 GT and for starters the driver side low beam light doesnt work any longer i removed it and found the connector that connects the bulb to the wiring is melted and was wonder if anyone had a spare headlight that they would be willing to part out for me i would def pay for the part! as i have searched and read on here that to fix it i would have to replace the enitre headlight for almost 300$ and i just cant afford that

Also both of my rear doors do not lock or unlock anymore using the key or the switches they try i here them click but they just dont move, well let me rephrase that they do work but only when it is cool outside when it is hot they do not work! i have tried to get to them to fix them but cannot get the rear door panels off i tried for almost 2 hrs and kept getting hung up on what felt like to me was the door handle itself i removed all screws and pops that i could find but didnt want to just rip the panel off becaue i didnt want to ruin it so if anyone could please help me i would be very much in your debt thank you!!

I believe you can get the pigtails separately. Those OEM connectors are prone to burnout/meltdown, even when using standard lamps. Try googling for "G6 headlight harness" or something like that.

These are an upgrade to the OEM connectors:

You need to replace the door latch/locks. They run about 70 bucks retail online. Dealer will charge in the $250-300 neighborhood per each to replace them so it's well worth your time DIYing them.

i had the same problem with my headlight low-beam connector, i had to replace the bulbs too often so i got a socket connector at auto Zone and replaced mine myself. i paid around $7 for the low-beam socket harness connector and its working great for months now.
