While taking the day reading through the forums I remember the answer to this question.
One member said he ran a wire for his laser jammer along with the hood latch indicator switch which that hole is behind the break pedal.

Aren't these things illegal in some states?

if its only a radar detector they are legal in all states except virginia and washington DC, if its a jammer then i wouldnt imagine it being legal anywhere but idk for sure on that.

Yeah the detectors are fine in most places. The radar jammers don't work and are illegal everywhere. The laser jammers work for the most part but are illegal in some states.
