Yep, but not the scan tool from AutoZone.
You need a Tech2, or Snap-On equivalent to read body codes.
The regular stuff most people use only reads OBD codes = engine/emissions sometimes trans.
There is a bulletin attached to a post in the last month with a listing of the codes.
The proper scan tool can also be used to do a test cycle to operate separate top components as part of the diagnostic process.

Had a seasoned GM mechanic work on mine last month using his Tech2. Even though it gave him a code for an electrical issue, he said it was a weak cylinder not being able to latch or unlatch the trunk lid on the left side.
"Top not secure" was my issue that I took it in for. He also commented the diagnostics for these cars are very poor. I purchased a used cylinder on Ebay and installed it yesterday with great success. Sadly none of these parts are no longer available from GM.
