CAI arrived friday, generic kit from Ebay, $50.00 bucks plus shipping, pleasantly suprised quality better than expected, need to clean up the short side radius for flash, pics are attached

Magnaflow exhaust was put on backorder  till the 14th so I'll be waiting for that,

Anyone know something  about the Racing Line Performance Strut Bar
http://racinglineperformance.com/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=25&idcategory=17

Or the Motor Mount Inserts
http://racinglineperformance.com/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=30&idcategory=17

Or the Grounding Kit
http://racinglineperformance.com/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=31&idcategory=17

Thanks for the friendship

Shopping about to have a window tint kit installed, not to bad if you do it yourself, but I have issues with my hands, osteoarthritis, and I have no idea of what to expect to have someone do it for me, any advise would be accepted

I've done the tints on my previous 3 cars & I got used to it after my 2nd try. The tricky part is having a steady hand to get a nice even cut at the edge of the windows. It can get a little difficult on the rear window with the squeegeeing, having the defrosters on the surface. It might be worth having it professionally done for about $150-$200. If you decide to do it yourself, defenitely research whats needed & step by step instructions. Glad to help if more info is needed.

Check Engine Light

Went out today to drive to work and the check engine light came on, Onstar even sent me a notice.

So it seems that I blew (overheated) an O2 sensor with the added air from the CAI.

Just figures, fix one thing and break another

All Better

Read around the forums, saw the computer reset trick, disconected the battery overnight, connected this morning, started and no light but ran a bit rough, drove around for 10-15 minutes to warm is up and still no light, called OnStar to run Diagonistics and no trouble found, thanks to all

Damn computer

DAMN DAMN DAMN

OK driving to work on Monday and the check engine light comes back on,
so I call onstar and the engine has a lean condition to both o2 sensors, so the damn computer did not adjust to the increased air flow from the CAI, I've reset the computer, and got my ass chewed by onstar for doing so, but it hasn't helped. Apparently its against federal law to clear an engine light on emissions. Its my damn car

so any ideas would be accepted and considered before going back to stock configuration.

also check out OBDCOM.COM go computer based software for talking to your engine computer

You can access the videos here: www.obdcom.com/video.htm

Feel free to email me if you have any questions to [email protected]

Mine should arrive today, I review it if needed

Intake Issues

WHY is the quandry

Why does the crabs or K&N the work better, or does it,

Can I increase the fuel rail pressure to inject more fuel,

I so prefer my 1979 Vette 350 cubic inches of brute horsepower,:D

any name brand works better than the cheap eBay intake.
My guess is that it leaks and causes lean issues. I dont know because I dont have one
but everyone who gets it reports CEL's and lean issues.
