Hi, I am looking to put LED's or something in the interior of the car. I was thinking of a couple of places. Inside the AC vents, around the cupholder (I saw this somewhere, can't remember), inside the console, and underneath the shift to light up the PRNDL characters.

However I have a couple of questions about the wiring (I have some experience with circuits, but not on a car). I want these lights to run with the interior of the car, so my question is where can I jump the LED to? I thought about the cigarette plug but I don't want to take power away from that, if that's possible.

So I was wondering where I can jump it to to give the LED power and not steal power from any other component? And if that's not possible, where should I wire them to? And in parallel or series? And lastly, will the dimmer knob on the left side of the steering wheel work with these LED's? If not can I use something else or how can I make them dim?
