My '08 GXP (bought used) has a "locking" lug nut on each wheel. I'm guessing it came that way from the factory.

They are round on the outside so of course no standard wrench will work; but on the top surface is a wavy circle meant for the special socket to fit.

The problem is, I don't have the socket. At least it's not in the glove compartment - perhaps it is with the spare tire uquipment under the trunk, but I haven't looked there yet.

Worst case scenario - are replacements available? Could I get one from a GM dealer?

Thanks.

If they were installed by the dealer originally, they may be able to replace them. Otherwise you'll need to get them split to remove them. You should also replace them with a new set of locking lug-nuts. When I got mine I got 2 "keys" with them, so I keep one at home and one in the glove box.
