... I rented an '06 G6 last week while in the Pacific Northwest. Bare bones model. White with black cloth interior, nothing fancy - one disc CD player, am/fm, no traction control & no roof (panoramic or otherwise). Comfortable, had speed available when I needed it. Good on gas mileage. People treated me most interestingly I think because the G6 had California plates on it. Almost like they expected something from me. I didn't drive like a maniac or anything... 
oh well... I wouldn't trade my '05 for an '06, but thought those of you who may be undecided would appreciate hearing about its performance & reliablility. I did encounter the "low coolant" warning & the "low fuel" light at about 1/8 of a tank, but nothing out of the ordinary.
