You shouldn't have thrown it away.

There is absolutely NO way to remove swirlmarks and micromarring without a machine or somehow talking the Flash to come away from his crimefighting long enough to help you with your ride.

Swirlmarks and micromarring are scratches. The reason you can see scratches is because they have an "edge" that reflects light. Polishing removes the clearcoat until it is even with the bottom of the scratches or until the edges of the scratch have been dulled to the point where they no longer reflect light. The product you were using has "fillers" in it that (you guessed it) fill in the scratch (sort of). These products work to do the same thing as polishing by using chemicals that dull the edge of the scratch and prevent or lessen the reflection of light off of the edge of the scratch.

Know your limitations.

Iam the type of guy when it comes to my beutiful bluizer I just wont quit! After talking to a meigures wax specialist I realized just how well those people are at standing behind their products. He told me I should of kept the recipts and he would gladly give me my money back for the failed scratch x 2.0 and swirl remover. He said I should try one more thing (keeping the receipt) before as w3apon-x said Im stuck with body shop alternative. He said they have this product called meiguires ultimate compound. he said it is more abrasive then the failed products but clear coat save. I said my finish isnt a oxidized ugly old mess, I dont want to ruin my paint. He assured me that would not happen its just has a little more ass kick to remove stubborn swirl marks. So here goes another 10 bucks and again here goes another expected failure. I will of coarse let the forum know of the results

Please pay close attention to my post.

I don't care what any product rep. says...you can NOT remove those swirls/micromarring without a machine unless you have the patience of Job, the strength of Sampson, and the speed of...I can't think of anyone documented in the Bible as being really fast.

Porter Cable 7424 (perfect for beginners)

Makita 9227 (advanced to expert users only)

Manus 10,000 (For those who want very tired arms.)

W3APON-X the internet disagrees you can remove them by hand if you have the right products which I thought Meguiars did-Wrong! these are Not deep scratches you canNot feel them with your fingernail! I am not wasting any more money on all those Scratch, Swirl mark products! I have a appointment with my local Ziebart Glass and detail shop that I contacted, explained my problem and set a appointment for monday morning to have them professionally removed with a machine! That scratch x 2.0 is a Joke! I used it 4 times on a light long scratch( you canNot feel with your fingernail) on my trunk lid I might of used water and got the same effect on the scratch as the Scratch X 2.0 did! I applied it with a microfiber polishing pad rub it in with alot of elbow grease like the meguiars rep said to do over and over the scratch again no results! Time to go to Zebart and let them know I want them Gone and I WILL BE LOOKING VERY VERY CLOSE TO MY PAINT WHEN THEY ARE DONE to find Swirl free paint!

here i am 3:15 am on a saturday morning, just spent 5 hours researching ziebart reviews looking up there services I have come to a conclusion. Ziebart is a ripoff. people are very dissapointed in their work. I dont want to pay 200 or 300 dollars just to have to go back to them and fight about i still see swirls and spider web scratches. but after all this research time now I dont.. thanks to Todd Esoteric detail service of columbus ohio (wow what a coincidence thats where I live) He uses 2 different types of buffers to get out swirl marks and will bring my car back to show room new. you should see his website he gets the cars back beautifully from being all scratched up. I cant wait I will definitly take pictures when he's done. its a blessing from God. I thought I hated swirl marks more than anybody but now I found a guy that hates them more than I do and knows exactly how to get them out not fill them in.. Im soo excited I can here Bluizer now telling the other columbus cars on the road ..... Dont hate me becuse Im beautiful

If I'm wrong...how come you haven't been able to remove them by hand yet?

You can fill them, maybe...might even be able to dull them a little. Stop telling me that you can't catch your fingernail on them. I realize that...it's because they are micromarring/swirlmarks. It doesn't matter because they are still depressions in your clearcoat...they are scratches...just shallow ones.

The products that have the abrasiveness to remove the swirlmarks you hate so much are meant to break down as they are used and heated up in the polishing process...if you do not successfully break them down then you are doing nothing except adding more swirlmarks/micromarring.

Also...you may find yourself disappointed. If the guy you're going to used polishes with fillers the micromarring will come back. If you wash and dry the car with the wrong applicators/towels the micromarring will come back.

The act of detailing a car is an act of removing paint. Eventually ( I don't care if it takes 30 years) the paint will run out and will need replacing. It's the natural progression of life.

Relax. Your vehicle is probably in better shape than 90% of the cars out there if you're this anal.

This guy sounds alright so far. Try and get a peek at some of his work. I'm always interested to hear what products other people use.

In the meantime...if you take the money he's going to charge you and go here...

You will be surprised what you can accomplish from your own garage.

:)I seen todds work on the internet incredible results. Once my car is done I will never again go to one of the swirlomatic carwashes again. Only touchless car washes ,never terry cloth towels, only microfiber towels. and no more waxing in circular motion, only back and forth, and spray waxing on a dusty finish never again! now Im done swirl marks and micromarring has truly beaten me and my wallet down my next thread on this subject will be in july when I hope this problem will be history... thanks for alls advice on this subject:)

:mad:The night before I get my Bluizer GT factory showroom detailed I accidently get to close to the curb and tear up the side of my new rim! Just my luck now after only having them for three weeks I have to replace my front passenger rim. Going to have the deepest clearest shine of all columbus G6's but with a curbed rim its going to drive me crazy. I just cant have it all

I just gave my Bluizer GT away to a guy I only talked to over the phone and a few minutes outside who says hes going to make it like new again. Im very nervous since I dont know him but I want those swirls gone. I was very surprised when he told me that he could teach me how to use a porter cable buffer myself to polish my car and give me some buffer pads. that gave me a better feeling. I am setting up with him as long as I get my car back and im very satisfied (which for me to be satisfied is very hard to do) for him to start on a weekly basis to hand wash my car so I dont have to go to those swirlomatic car washes again. Id breather pay 30 bucks for someone to wash my car that specializes in keeping a scratch free shine then pay 15 to kean a kar and start geting swirls again. well now I wait intill 1 pm im so excited but at the same time very nervous. I will be geting 50 50 pictures of before and after of my car to show the transformation my car took at 1 pm. I will post them. I hope he knows what he doing

I tell you my damn luck is b.s. The guy started to do a two step process to remove my swirl marks and just during the first panel his buffer broke. I needed the car back that afternoon so he didnt have enough time. he did hand wash then clay the car. he went out and brought another buffer but at that point i needed the car back. he went ahead and polish it by hand for me which i tell you it looks great but told me just give it back to him and next saturday he would completely do the whole car again (he ask please make sure you can give the car up all day).He did not charge me a penny felt very bad for his equipment felling him and took 50 bucks off the service. I will do it all over again and then you can pay me now that to me is a pretty honest dude. I pray things go better saturday!
