Hey forum, was wanting to post some pics of my car on here looooong ago then i started doing some other mods so i decided to wait and let you see from begining to.....well not end but where I am at now. I have done MANY things to my G6 and i have many more in the works.

I have a 2006 G6 GT that can easily be confused for a GXP because it looks just like a GXP

the only thing im missing is the powertrain

(i would really like it!!!)

Well i will get right into it, i bought my car as a stock G6 GT and have slowly transformed it over a 2 year period. I only have one pic of it before i started going crazy and spending all my money on it.

as you can tell it was taken on my cell phone and the quality isnt there.

Next is where it starts to transform, i stated with the GXP front end (front bumper and hood)

as you can see the back end is not done yet, thankfully my sister also drives a G6 and she got rear ended so i gave her my back bumper and ordered myself a new GXP bumper. (I sell cars for a GM dealership so my bodyshop was more then happy to make the exchange for me

)

I didnt have dual exaust but just my luck someone had problem with there GXP exaust and got a brand new one so i scraped what i could off it and converted it all over. (the catalytic converter was wistling so i used the muffler and welded it onto mine)

While i was in the process of getting my exaust and bumper put on i decided i would order a carbon fibre hood as well as some 20's for it in the spirt of summer and this is what turned out!

(yes i sold myself my car and have one my plate covers on it

I had to break it up into 2 posts because i am only aloud to submit 10 pics at a time

The last pic isnt that good the sun decided it would ruin the pic and i didnt get a chance to go take another yet.
I have also done some stuff in the inside to make my car even more fun when i drive it, such as a DVD screen that is hooked up to my 120g ipod (still trying to fill the damn thing up think i got like 5500 songs and 15 movies on it.)

I have also done a cold air intake under the hood but that is it for that (sorry i dont have a pic right now

)

Let me know what you think i love hearing feedback of things taht could make it look better.

I do plan to order headlights/taillights in the neer furture i found some HID halo headlights on ebay that are going to look awsome once i get some more $ to spend, and after that i am going to change out the GXP front bumper for a custom body kit

I forgot i wanted to add this pic of my car getting the 20's put on i thought it looked neat to see it with the 20's in the front and 17's in the back

as you can see i have a stock hood on because i sold mine GXP hood to a friend and was using his old hood till mine arrived !!

I want to eventually it wouldnt be very practical where i live though

lol both I dont plan to drive it this winter though i am going to get a demo vehicle from my work

Soooooo what hood do you have now? Im confused.

Also.....you need a spoiler upgrade. I recommend the 09.5 one....
its more aggresive than the one you have and looks good on the sedan.

Im not a fan of the hammerhead on sedans.....but thats just me.

I have a carbon fibre on i bought off of ebay, i will take some better pics of it soon and post it on here, and i agree 100% with you i need a different spoiler the hood sits up so much and doesnt raelly go with the lines of the car, i was thinking maybe even a G5 spoiler i have seen that done a few times around here and it looks good!!

Looks sick, but personally, since it looks so much like a gxp, i would debadge the "GT"

And i think it would look pretty sweet with some smoked tails.

Thanks i was thinking of flipping the GT to be a TG because thats my initials

and i agree smoked tails should be part of her near future

I think im going to order soon you have a link you could show me what you recomend? and anyone have some ideas on the best way to lower it, is there something i can get other then airbags that will let me lower it and raise it back up?

Well if youre talking about shadowing the tails then sure.
Go to your local AutoZone, Murrays (o'reilleys), or Napa.
One of them should have what you need.

You need:
1 Can of VHT Niteshade
1 Can of Dupli-color Clear Coat
Windex
1000 Grit Sandpaper

pm me for directions on how to apply it.

Needs smaller rims and lowering....... My only gripes....(Don't get mad/feel bad i'm the anti chrome

I think i see a switch in that little cubby where your remote is sitting. What is that too? Is it a switch bypass for dvd on your player, or something else?
