Items For Trade:

When I bought my G6 GT Convertible (after searching far and wide) I REALLY wanted the coveted 3.9L engine, finally found one that was very nearly mint with 44,000 miles, every available option, and it has been PERFECT. I absolutely love the sound, low-end torque and everything else about the 3.9L engine. Over five years and 11,000 all-highway miles later, absolutely EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY and it is a DREAM to drive it! Since 1977 I've owned many great cars, this one is truly my favorite of all time, and as you might imagine it's been well loved and meticulously maintained, upgraded with drilled/slotted rotors, ceramic brakes, new Goodyear tires, high-spec plugs/wires.

PROBLEM: My wife and I started RVing this year and towed it about 2,600 miles on a tow-dolly -- everything was fine but the tow-dolly is a real pain-in-the-butt. Now we want to flat-tow and get rid of the dolly. The 3.9L cannot be flat towed.

SOLUTION: Only the 3.5L versions of the G6 Convertable can be flat-towed, so the obvious answer is to 'downgrade'.

QUESTION: Anybody out there willing to trade a reasonably clean (or better) 3.5L convertible for an extraordinarly clean 3.9L GT?

Could I find a different/other convertable? Sure, but I've invested countless hours learning the G6/Karmann platform and I'm getting too old to learn yet another vehicle -- so I am set on this path. If I can't find a 3.5L G6 CONVERTIBLE, I'll keep what I have and continue to suffer with the tow-dolly, so I won't consider selling it until I've found it's replacement.
