You'll probably be pegged at about 180 MAYBE 190. With intake, exhaust and an aggressive tune. Cams would probably help you reach your goal without spending really serious cash on forced induction. Expect about a grand for cams. And at least 3 grand for SC or Turbo.

How much hp would the cam add? Also is it even possible to supercharge a g6? How much hp can the transmission handle?

I couldn't find any specific figures on gains from the cams, I only hear about noticeable increases and change in power bands.

You can Turbo or supercharged the 2.4 pretty easily. They sell bolt on kits for that motor but its all geared towards cobalt people.

I was also told the stock trans is on borrowed time past 250hp. But a bunch of cobalt guys were saying the trans can handle quite a bit. The addition of a trans cooler also helps prolong the life quite a bit.

Yea, even my plans for power are probably a bit extravagant. But I wanna do it for fun and rarity. This car is just too heavy for a little ol' 4 Banger.
Plus I go to a lot of shows and meets, and I'm pretty well set on showing up in a G6 everytime. Put those Honda guys to shame. Haha

I was told it's the same 4T45E tranny used. But I have no idea if the ratios are different or anything. ZZP also sells a built 4t45e trans. Some 2.4l G6's also came with the 6-speed I think.

I was going to add that just between an intake and Tune my engine really perked up. If you're planning on moving to a new car within a year, then maybe an intake and tune will be good enough for you until then. Plus the cost of those mods isn't that bad.
