I have a 2009 G6 GT Convertible that is very unique. It has leather interior with the GXP logo on it. I am told that a GXP convertible was not made, it also has the 3.9 v6 and several other options that did not come on the G6 Convertible. It is my understanding the order type is = 10 - P.E.P. / SPL EVENT which means a special event. How can I find out what event it was built for and how many were made???

Well either your source of info or typing skillz are a bit off, as the 3.9 was a very common option in the vert. Now if you meant the 3.6, THEN you have something very special indeed
.

The GXP seats are definitely a twist on things, I must admit. Do you have any pics of the front? If you have a GXP front bumper I  immediately

I am having trouble uploading pic's of the front but I think it has the GXP bumper. I have not been able to find good photos of the 2009 G6 GT & GXP/
It has the 3.9 so my source is week.
I would love to find out what event this car was built for??? I will take new photos and try to post they tell me the photos are too large too post?
Thanks Pete

Got your photos - thanks! You've got a 2009.5 front bumper, which is still pretty cool but not a GXP one. Just look at the top of this page - the car directly underneath G6OwnersClub.com on the left is a GXP and has the "official" GXP bumper with the more elongated grilles. Actually that one isn't the best angle to see the diff. between the GXP and "regular" - a straight ahead shot at eye level or lower really shows it off:

So it would appear that the only GXP specific thing you've got is the seats (which are pretty cool looking!). Can't help you as far as what it was produced for

There were a few of those made, in fact I've probably been in your car before you got it. ;) Shoot me the VIN I'll see what I can do.

Hmmm...you've got a few codes that I don't have:

WD0 IDENTIFICATION START OF PLATFORM CONTAINMENT VEHICLES PLATFORM CONTAINMENT VEH(WD0)

B8T Unk.

OAR IDENTIFICATION PRE-PRODUCTION ('BUCKET' BATCH BUILD PROCESS) PRE-PRODUCTION VEHICLE(OAR)

Nothing specific about the GXP seats but maybe it's part of one of those.

But perhaps most interestingly considering you gave us a pic of your red car:

13U EXTERIOR COLOR,PRIMARY (13U)
PRIMARY COLOR EXTERIOR, GRAYSTONE MET (07)(SGM-CHINA) (13U)
