Ok. So I am at the point that I need to replace my speakers in my 2010 G6 Sedan. I am assuming these types of questions have been asked a million times, but I dont want to waste money. The left side speakers in my car do not work, aside from the tweeter. I have a set of kicker speakers I want to use, but I don't want to cut the factory wiring harness.
I need to know if these are the things I would need to replace all four speakers.
Speaker adapters (to hold speakers in doors): https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07D5H2PP7/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1527313001&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=Pontiac+G6+2009+Front+Door+6.5"+6.75+Aftermarket+Speaker+Adapter+Kit
I have been reading on this forum page and others online that say that you lose performance when using a 4ohm speakers on a 2ohm amp (stock) and that you have a possibility of blowing the amp (stock) or "catching fire." I still have everything stock, so I need help with making sure everything will work. On crutchfield, all of these parts will work, but on amazon, it says it will not.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. I do not have monsoon speakers and I do have experience with wiring speakers, just don't want to cut the harness if I don't have to.
