The lease on my 2006 GT Sedan (Gray) was up and I loved the car! No doubt about the choice for the new car.

Sticker on the '09 est. city mpg is 17 - the DIC tells me 23 around town! The '06 was consistently around 25 in town.

The difference in mileage is because of the different engine. They are both 3.5's but your new one {LZ4}has a de stroked 3.9 and it's a completely different engine then your old LX9. I had a 05 GT before I got this 07 GT and the 05 got much better mileage. By the way welcome to the site.

When I was at the dealership waiting for car cleanup, I was looking around the showroom. They had a Vibe. It's sticker said that it had a 1.8L and the est. city MPG was 21. Seems that the "small engine = better mpg" is a fallacy!

Yea sometimes there is just to much weight for the 4 cylinders to move. In fact my old 2005 GT got better mileage then a 2008 Malibu LT 4 cylinder I was renting.
