New G6 GT Owner In NJ

Hey all! My name is Amber and my husband and I just bought me a 2006 G6 GT today! I am so excited! My husband is a HUGE GM car guy and owns a 2008 TBSS (Trailblazer SS) that has broken the world's fastest n/a record running 11.7 in the 1/4. He was pushing me to get a performance vehicle that would also be economical, with us just having had a baby in April, and we both fell in love with this car as soon as we saw it. Any suggestions on parts and upgrades would be greatly appreciated!

I plan on getting a tune from Tune Time Performance in Toms River, NJ- that is the performance shop that does all of my husbands work. I am unsure what color I am going to use when redoing all of my decals and what not- the car is a really pretty silverish/blue (I haven't even looked up the paint code yet for the technical name of it). I'd like to also look to see who else has the panoramic sunroof and if they've had any problems as mine seems to stick open ever so slightly and if anyone knows if I have to go thru GM for my spare key.

Again- any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome!! Unfortunatly I dont have a sunroof,but I have heard of some minor problems. just search around youll find a few posts on it. and Im pretty sure you have to go through the dealership for a new key.

Yep- I'm from Jersey! LMAO!

His TBSS (Trailblazer SS) holds the record for the fastest n/a (NO Nitrous, Turbo, or Supercharger) TBSS in the world. He ran 11.70 @ 115mph... Head/Cam and Bolt-ons... My car pics are attached. I really wanted grey, silver or black to add pink accents, but we found this one and I fell in love. I'm thinking about still adding pink, but I may go another color. Not sure yet :D

Congrats on having a new baby, and getting a new baby. I have the panoramic on my 06, 51xxx miles on it, and no huge problems. You can hear the wind whistle through it when going fast, but nothing major yet. I have heard of people saying it rattles over bumps.

Thank you and thank you!! :D I LOVE LOVE LOVE the G6! Thanks for the info- so no leaking? Mine rattles and whistles, but if that's normal then I can deal. I had a sunroof on my Malibu and loved it- but the panoramic is INSANE! That was the first thing to catch my eye and (even tho my hubby HATES it) I haven't used my ac much because I just open that bad boy up, crack the windows a couple inches and go. LOL!

The hubby made an appointment to get window tinting done Saturday morning! I'm so excited! 5% on all the back windows (over the factory), 30 on the front 2 and 5% strip on the front. So excited!

Congrats on the baby and welcome to the club. I know Tune Time Performance very well. They have done work on my G8. Matt really knows his stuff. Good to see another Burlington Co NJ resident on here. Where do you get your tint done?

Oh ok! Yeah- that is what I originally wanted (G8 GXP) but with our daughter coming early and me becoming a stay at home mom we just couldn't swing that. LOL! Matt's G8 is gorgeous!

We got the tint done the weekend after we got the car. My husband takes all of his vehicles to Dynamic Auto Centre in Pennsauken. They did 30 on the two front windows and 80 on all 3 back windows and an 80 strip across the top pf the windshield. They are going to do some custom embroidery on my seats and our daughter's car seat too I think.
