Greetings all,

Names Kevin and I just bought a '09 G6 Sedan in the Blue-Gold mist metallic. Beautiful color on this car. Bought the car with 5 miles on it and are at 132 now. Wasn't really looking the the G6 at first but the incentives/rebates were way to good to pass up. Drove off with a ending cost of $14,100 on a car that had the Perferred Package. Had about $7,500 worth of savings from the sticker, which I know no one pays. But it makes me feel better anyways. LOL

BIG QUESTION>>>> Should we be worried about the availibilty of parts in the 5-10 year future??? I didnt know if you guys heard anything that I maynot be aware of yet.

Welcome to the site, I think parts for the G6 will be around for a long time. I'm sure some of you out there have older or even disconntinued cars that you can get parts for.

I wouldn't worry about finding parts. There are a lot of manufacturers that sell parts. A lot of times, aftermarket parts are better in quality than OE anyway! www.jegs.com will be a good site, I imagine, once the G6 becomes a 'classic', lol. Anyone remember the K-car? I still found parts for that a few years ago until I sold it, and it was an '85!

Not only do the Malibu and G6 share the same platform, but there's a TON of G6es on the road, at least in my part of the country. They'll all need parts for a good while.

This morning I was stopped at a light in my 6 and realized there were two others stopped beside me, first in line at the light. I swear everywhere I look I see a G6 now since I bought mine a month ago.
