hey guys, I just picked up a grey 09 G6 GXP. Last car was an 04 GTO, and all my previous cars before it were high(ish) powered RWD so this is new to me lol. I'm amazed at what this little v6 can do, it will never have the top speeds my goat had but overall its not that much slower in acceleration.

Already starting to plan out mods, so far i havent found anything modded on it yet (got it used with just under 50k on it)

i can beleive it. or at least it would beat a stock one. some of the guys in GTO club have some pretty insane goats, mine wasnt one of them. I focused on making it look good and having an awesome stereo before i focused on power mods. all i had was CAI and a corsa cat back so you prolly would have beaten mine lol.

only problem now is i have to start all over on a build list for this thing and find new sites/shops/brands that im not yet familiar with. kinda sad the only parts pedders makes (that ive so far found) is the front and rear coils. the full pedders suspension on my goat was the best ride ive ever had

[EDIT] been having alot fun searching threads on here looking for what is and isnt good for part brands lol

you will probably have more luck on www.g6performance.com for those kind of mods, the bad news is almost EVERYTHING for the 3.6 is expensive :( headers are about 1k, forged Hbeam rods are 1k cams(all 4 of them) are $2800, right now a few ppl are working on fabricating an entirely new intake manifold which they havent installed and dynoed yet but they expect to realistically gain about 23whp, we can use the 20 or 25% UDPs from the V6 camaros with the 3.6, weve found upgraded injectors, and theres also intake manifold spacers/ insulators, port and polish on the intake manifolds and heads have been done....... and of course you have Crabs for cold air intakes and GTR for exhaust WAMS or HPTuners for tunes, for suspension all we really have specifically is lowering springs BUT the saab 9-3 is built on the same platform and the coilovers for them (at least the megan racing ones anyways) work on our cars, theres strut tower bars, Brembo brakes from the cobalt SS/TC fit our fronts and the cobalt ss rears fit as well and are about as big as our stock fronts and vented........... where as our stock rears are solid disk

also another mod id highly recomend is racinglines motor mount inserts that stiffen up the drive train and allow the power to hit the ground a lot better (technically they are the trans mounts but everyone calls themm MMIs)

also, another good site for 3.6L performance in particular is www.hfv6.org in the forum of the LY7/ epsilon although it doesnt have nearly the activity as this site it is the go to place for the more involved mods of the 3.6..........cams, headers intake manifold etc

sweet deal thanks for the links. ill have to check those out but i have a tendency to make one-off custom stuff alot so theres a good chance ill be posting alot of how to's in the future cuz i noticed the how to board is a bit lacking on the more technical stuff lol. no offense to anyone on here, im just used to seeing alot of stuff like "how to bodywork a custom wide body kit" etc so as i get money to do that stuff we will see lol
