Whats sup g6 Fans!

I been doing alot of homework on the pontiac g6 engine and transmission and on the sts turbo!!The sts turbo have a custom kit for the g6 throwing between 100 to 140 at the wheel so if u have 252 or 224 hp. Holy crap add that total! the only problem i found out the tranny will brow less then 2 months!:( but that can be solve before installing the sts turbo! Rebuild the tranny to bulletproof meaning! rebuild the tranny With a high performace package at amco or a transmission shop! i was talking to a amco person and he told me u can turn that tranny to a performace one well any tranny u can but the only problem is!!! if u have the money! he siad putting 2 to 3 grand into the tranny will make it run hard and faster and support up to 700 hp
keyword support! not give u lol

(note: basiclly your transmission will never be the same you will feel the power and notice quick pick up and shift is so damn hehee!!! ( i be we all wish that)

after that rebuild ur engine and try to get new performace pistons now after that alltogether u may have spend like 4 grand on the spot!!!!!which this give your car is gonna have like a 30 to 50 horsepower gain !! and the car will last much more longer run more faster and at the same time but a true to true performace sedean hehehe! now if u go with the sts turbo on top of that well add 100 to 140 hp power to the engine and tranns added horse too.. you looking at 420 rounded by horse little more then the g8 sedean!!! now the sts turbo kit is about 7 grand! soo all together u paying 11,000 !!! is very steep! and honestly your car will be brand new after all this
cause the sts turbo also include new fuel injector and other perforamce parts install inside your car!!! so it all adds up to 7 grand!!!!drrrrrr...I was going homework for a week now and talk to sts turbo at 1-866-we-turbo and amco at 1-877-79.aamco AND to some pontiac dealerships.......Chcek it out if u ahve a chance and if anyone is down for doing this heavy mod its gonna take time and year! im planning to do it and try it out on the pontiac g6 2007 with 3.5 engine with a 4 speeder tranny auto!! planning to add quick shift to P:)

If u wanna make sure my story is right call the number thier and ask them!they will talk it out with yea and so on! do some homework on this cause you can convert the pontiac g6 into a high performace car!!!but note this will void your warrenty if u have one!automaticly cause the car will be all aftermarket......so yeah that conclude my report.......

PS:Im still inproving my writing skills! And please for normal drivers dont use more then 6 to 8 pound of boost. it can damage your engine and reduce your car life! now if your racing thatz a whole new ball game! if u race you gonna have to rebuild your engine ever 15 to 20 race and tranny for ever 30 to 40 race!!!!!!! I will start taking pictures of the long term project! and show you video when i finish building my tranny and engine and then installing the sts turbo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I think everyone knows it can be done....but who wants to spent 15 grand doing it when you can just buy a G8 or an 06 GTO for less...?

IMHO if you really wanted a race car the G6 isnt the way to go.

Now if you want a fun, zippy, damn good looking car that will beat most of whats out there then the G6 IS the way to go.
yes i have put a turbo on an 2006 G6 3.5L with an auto and it ran fine and i am working on the tuning side now. But no issues so far...

Yes very true!!! honestly im planning to build the tranny and add quick shift and then install the vectortune and thatz about it! the car will be fast enough hehehe but yeah your right! rather buy a g8 or gto!....But in old english town race track in new york i seen some g6 starting off fast as hell and so on! and when u look under the hood you dont see nothing stock but the steering wheel and radio stock :)

Hello SMP.:)
BTW NYSWAT. you dont sound like you know not one thing on the subject. Everything you just said was pretty much common knowledge. at least on the real G6 board it is.

Wow What makes i dont know? sorry im not a Expert on car like you. but all i can do is look around and ask around this is my first car and i join this fourm cause im willing to learn more and so on!!!! and so far i do know alot about this turbo cause i talk to GM Tech,Transmission TEch and sts turbo themself!!!! and did my homework on the car!!! and the reason i post this cause I didnt see anything on this forrm explaning the way i explain it!! so yeah! and i kinda expected that he dont have turbo cause for the pontiac g6 well every car ur engine adn tranny should be rebuild first and on top of that must be ecm tune for the car to work perfect or you gonna have a blown engine and tranny!!!!!!!!!!!

ps: im just a beginner on cars and so on!!!!!!
No problem, let me get a camera and get back in town and I will post up picks no biggie.

My issue is with tuning but I am working with the new SMT8 so tuning should take no time.
So please be patient but if you have questions let me know :)

yeah MOTO.
depending on how much psi your going to run you wont have to replace much as far as the engine itself goes. (although it doesnt hurt), you can get off shlef forged pistons from a ls1 and still stay near to stock specs while shaving a good 40 grams. head gaskets are easily good for 10psi, the transmissions on most of the g6 models already have replacement transmissions that would hold the extra power to run 13s (4t65e-HD) all day and there plenty of places to get the transmission rebuilt or have one sent to you and send them back yours as a core program.
STS turbos are definitely not the most efficient route to go. But if it's your only option, I guess it's better than nothing.

But yeah, I would definitely not try and get a heavy FWD car with an ATX all that fast. Especially one with all traction control and throttle limitations that it has. Keep it simple for me, so that way I have control over throttle, brakes, and everything else.

How much does the STS cost anyways? I can't imagine making a kit would be all that hard as far as piping goes. It's not like you have to worry about turbo placement, or exhaust manifolds.
Well heading home and the SMT8 i believe should be sitting at the door! Also working with Mr White to see if he can just make a tune for this turbo kit to make life easy!

You got me thinking about the weight of the car!!!!! putting to much power in a fwd car!!!!mmmmm is thier a way to reduce weight on the car???? and to inprove the braking system if i add on the turbo???? adn the sts turbo for the g6 is 7000. :( it will be customize and built for the car!!!!

gut the interior. do saab brake conversion or cobalt SS brembo brake conversion.
Unless you plan on braking from speeds over 130 very hard, upgrading the brakes is more of an aesthetic modification than anything else. I don't think too many people are going to be autocrossing the car either...

You can reduce the weight a little bit, but not much more than 200 or 300 pounds, depending on how far you want to go. Even then, you're still going to be a good bit over 3,000.
