STS turbos are definitely not the most efficient route to go. But if it's your only option, I guess it's better than nothing.

But yeah, I would definitely not try and get a heavy FWD car with an ATX all that fast. Especially one with all traction control and throttle limitations that it has. Keep it simple for me, so that way I have control over throttle, brakes, and everything else.



How much does the STS cost anyways? I can't imagine making a kit would be all that hard as far as piping goes. It's not like you have to worry about turbo placement, or exhaust manifolds.

Unless you plan on braking from speeds over 130 very hard, upgrading the brakes is more of an aesthetic modification than anything else. I don't think too many people are going to be autocrossing the car either...

You can reduce the weight a little bit, but not much more than 200 or 300 pounds, depending on how far you want to go. Even then, you're still going to be a good bit over 3,000.
