I've got an '07 G6 with 2.4L engine. The cooling fans have never worked except one time: the coldest night of the year when it was 10°F, they came on as soon as I started the engine and ran continuously until I shut it down a few minutes later. Needless to say, the engine never got over 100°. That was the only time they've ever come on. It's 90° outside side and I'd love to use the A/C. The compressor light on the switch comes on when pressed but compressor doesn't engage, nor the two cooling fans turn on and it has enough refrigerant to not prevent that. I asked a tech at a Chevy dealer about it a few weeks ago and he said that there were a number of sensors for the fans on the A/C as well as cooling system side. All fuses are okay and I have no way to easily check any relays as our area has almost no auto electric specialists and none do testing, only replace. Any ideas where to start? It's getting hotter every day and I don't want to boil over in a drive-thru. Thanks!
