Did the dealer give you a part number? That should take the guessing out of the price tag.
I have a connection at a dealer in my home town, but don't get to talk to them too much when I am out of state. The GM dealership there has always shot me straight when I needed something taken care of. I even had one of the mechanics pop the hood for me and show me how to install the transmission cable on my Sunfire myself instead of paying him $300 to install it for me.
Was it just plug and play? I also have an 06 and want to make sure I don't have to worry too much about this.
