okay first the pain code ... i have a 2005 G6 and the paint number is in the glove compartment ... there's a silver sticker there ... there's a bunch of combinations there ... the paint code should be the bottom right combination ... it should look like this "u xxxx" ... xxxx should be the paint code ... i'm not sure if the "u" part should be included but if it starts with "u" be sure that's the paint code ...Hello!
I NEED HELP WITH 2 ISSUES
First, I need to find the paint code for my 2007 Pontiac G6. I have been looking all over for the Parts ID sticker to find my code, but I cannot locate it anywhere and I need it to order touch up paint.
Second, I need the touch up paint to fill in very deep scratches along the front right, directly under the right turn signal. The paint is scratched away and I can see the black primer underneath. It looks HORRIBLE.
PLEASE TELL ME THE BEST TACTICS TO FIX THIS SCRATCH BY MYSELF.
Matthew
touching up would probably make the scratches less visible but the real solution is to take it to a body shop and ask them what would they charge to fix them ... they can fill them in with bondo and prime them and paint them ... i work at a body shop and i know that doesn't cost too much ... no more then a 100$ to just fix up a bumper ... also that depends on the color of your vehicle cuz the new GM colors are really expensive and of course how bad the craches are so ... it could be a little more then a $100 ...
