I have a 2005 G6.... great car, so far so good, it has 59K miles on it... the problem is as of late the steering has been stiff, today the steering wheel LOCKED on me whil doing reverse.....

i'm affraid because i drive with my wife and kids... all the time in the car, i cannot have the steering wheel locking up on me....

before i go back to dealer should i look at something?

Apparently GM extended the warranty for the lock up issue to 70,000 miles so you're still in luck. Yes the lock up is a known issue.
