2007 G6 GT convertible

I replaced the motor on the window regulator and now the window runs backwards. Push the switch down to go up and up to go down. The plug only goes on one way as far as I can tell. Anyone run into this before? Any help is appreciated.

All I can think of is poor quality control at the factory. You can replace it or swap the terminals in the harness around which is pretty simple to do.

Sorry born2ski - it is the drivers door.

I pulled the plug on the motor today and swapped the blue and brown wires (up & down) in the harness. Got the switch to work right this way but window still will not drop when door is opened. Also found that if the window is down already when I drop the top, the window goes up when I hit the switch while the other 3 go down as usual. Am going to exchange the motor for another. It's obviously wired backwards.

did you do the reinit procedure:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Power Window Reinitialization (Coupe/Convertible Only)
This feature automatically lowers the window a small amount when the door is opened. Then when the door is closed, the window will automatically raise. After a power reconnect, such as battery replacement, the indexing feature will not function until the system is initialized. This procedure needs to be done for each individual window.

Important: The folding top must be in the fully closed position before performing this procedure.

Once power is restored, do the following:

Close the door for the window being reinitialized.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Hold the window switch up for two seconds after the window is closed, release the switch, then hold the switch up again for two seconds.
Lower the window all the way down and hold the switch down for two seconds.
Repeat the procedure for each window, including the rear quarter windows on convertible models, until all windows are initialized.

Yes, I did reinit procedure but did not help problem. Hopefully another motor will solve problem. Already contacted supplier and have arranged for replacement to be shipped.
