Ok, I have a 2006 G6 GT Sedan that I just got about 3 months ago. All in all, im pretty happy with the sound output it has (compared to my old 93 Honda Accord at least), but im looking to possibly upgrade the Speakers and amp (leave the HU there, its not that bad of a HU). Is there anything special with the wiring that I would have to do? I have been reading around and it looks like its a lot of work when dealing with the Monsoon system. Thanks in advance.

I dont think there are harnesses out there so you would need to splice.
I havent done it...only read what others do but swapping speakers has been done many, many times. The Monsoon does have integrated speekers so I am not sure about the
ohms or any of that. Sorry...I guess Im not allot of help.

We gave the Monsoon system in wifie's car (07 G6 GT) that same up-grade. We took it to a very reputable audio shop and had "Kenwood " speakers installed with a "Bazooka" (4 channel) amp. The shop kept the car longer than usual because the (so says the manager) Monsoon system was difficult. It sounds great thou!
