Radio stays on and windows don't act right after car is turned off.

First...I have searched but some of these posts are so old and had no real resolution so I started a new thread.

2009 convertible. When you turn the car off and open the door, the radio is supposed to shut off and the window rolls down just a bit. Neither of those things are happening now. I've read in some old posts, it could be a door sensor and someone else said door latch assembly. Has anyone had similar problems and found a solution? Not a huge deal but it's annoying for sure. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance guys.

Retained Accessory Power (RAP), window indexing, interior lights and door ajar warnings all rely on the door lock signaling. Some have noted broken wires in the door hinge areas. Another option is that the lock assembly itself is faulty. Those would be my best bets.

Thank you for that! I'll poke around a bit and see what I can see in the hinge area. Is the lock assembly in the door or in the latch attached to the car itself?

Did that actuator fix the problem, or did you just throw parts at it in hopes that was the problem? Let us know if it worked out for you.

I'm going to probably just take it in to a shop and have them take a look. I don't have the best track record taking off door panels, they never seem to go back on right. It did just start working again out of the blue yesterday for some reason.
Tons of YouTube videos out there showing how to do this if your still having problems.
