Hi, I was wondering, if you have a ram air hood or if you know...Does anyone know the average price it costs to get a hood painted?

take it to macco, they do a good job and it might only cost you $150!

I think I paid $375 for top and bottom but I fitted and prepped it (sanded).

Ok Thanks, that is the only thing holding me back, the price, I can buy the hood, but I don't know if it's worth it. I think it looks good but that $1000 dollars could go towards the car...

Recent estimate for hood prep and paint along with front bumper was $977 from a high quality shop. That was State Farm Insurance's price, though.

Thats a crazy price....maybe that included parts and the mortgage too....

I would just go to a different shop and keep whatever left of the $977 check. Thats what I did on my last car...some girl barely hit scraped my car as she drove by...like a foot long scratch on the rear quarter panel got me $400 because AllState quoted it at like 2 or 3 hours of labor so I just buffed it out and kept the cash
