well i replaced the muffer in my 2.4l with a twister shortie but pretty much sounds the same! so i guess the resonator is next...what is recommended to use here i dont really want it too loud and raspy just deep and powerful sounding? i was thinking of replacing with dynomax bullet...

does it sound the same to you inside the car or did you actually stand behind it while someone rev'd it or drove away?

usually the stock exhaust(on most cars) is overly restricted and muffled just so people can't say "it's too loud"

I had my resonator replaced with an IMCO turbo tube. That and the flowmaster muffler took away the restriction of the stock exhaust and it sounds deep, probably what ur lookin for.
