How much do you think a body shop like Maaco would charge to repair the rust damage? This is very unfortunate for me because this has always been a good car (07 G6 Base). This is on the driver side and this is all lose rust that easily chipped off. All I'm hoping for is just some filler to fill the gaps; I don't even care about paint because I can just use touch up paint. This is probably going to involve (no doubt) welding new sheet metal and cutting off a chunk (at least two feet) of the rocker panel. I suck at doing body work on my own.
Depending on the price, it may not be worth investing the money. Do you think something could be done under $500?
