As the title states names Seth, but my G6s to title says 08 but it's got some 05 and some Impala also 05 in it's make,

Hope to have a gxp 2 door soon I'm working a trade, of my Miata for, but some day I hope to make it something like the gxp-r discussed in the following link,. And I've already been the proud owner of the gt G8 and traded it years back but don't regret that mistake , as it make me a Rider a decision I'll never regret, but if dreams come true my G6 will be capable of eating my G8 for lunch and have room for dinner steak .

Hope I'm a contributing member in the years to come it's the tranny from a 3800 05 Impala just to offer a bit of info for the community in my intro , did every one know 4T65e with a build tag 4lbb has the same final drive 3.05 as the g6s sporting the 3.5 , and aside from motor mounts is a direct swap almost . UPGRADE on the cheap. Lots of 3800s out there .

Welcome to the club. I have often wondered about the possibility of a 6spd replacement. More idle curiosity and musing as I don't really have the time, tools or capability for such a swap. As well as the physical swap I wondered about the practicality of the electronics interface, like the PCM / BCM communication with the 6spd TCM. The communications would be fine at the CAN Bus interface level, but the messages and expectations of the modules might not match. Let us know how your journey goes if you do decide to give it a go.
