Welcome to the club. If it happens only during braking, I would be suspecting warped rotors. I would also expect to feel the shaking / pulsating through the brake pedal. Personally, I did not have it so violent to feel that the wheels were going to fall off, more of an annoying shake. That could well depend on how badly they are warped, if that is the issue. Good luck finding and fixing it.
Warped rotors is a great place to start, deteriorated brake lines (internally) could also be the culprit.
Definitely warped rotors. Pulsation in the pedal and the front end/steering wheel is usually front rotors. Pulsation in your butt/seat is more to the rears. I usually replace them all at once should it become an issue. Cheap enough.

I have the opposite problem. My car has started to shake up on acceleration at around 45-60 mph then it calms down if I go above that or I let go of the gas but as soon as I drop below and accelerate again, it shakes again. Any ideas?
Have your tires rebalanced and checked. If the balance is out, it can show at a certain speed range only

That sounds like a wheel and tire out of balance... It could be a bad front CV axle as well as I had that happen once. I would start with a tire rebalance and try it. Also, shake down the front and rear end suspension. Make sure everything is nice and tight.
I’ve had that before and I ended up replacing the front wheel bearings.
