switching over to winter wheels/tires, and in the process I sheared off two studs on the front driver's side. :frown2:

Two questions...

What are the replacement size studs I should get?

What can I do to keep so much rust forming on the threads of the studs? Obviously, I don't want to lubricate the threads to the point that the lug nuts wind loose, but is there a treatment for the studs that will protect them from seizing in place?

Ok, found out the right size stud and nut and will be picking them up at AutoZone.

Still have the question about rust and keeping this from happening again.

the friction between the lug and wheel holds the lug still.put anti seize or wheel bearing grease on the studs.
