I'm not certain if they are referred to as pin stripes or something else. The ones currently on my car that were there when I bought it have worn off almost entirely.

They run along the sides of the car, very thin. I will update with a picture but I wanted to go ahead and create the post now.

I was wondering if it's best for me to take to a shop that could redo them and if anyone knows how much something like that would roughly run (I know shops vary, etc) or if there is some other alternative altogether.

2008 Pontiac G6 GXP (Sedan)

Thank you kindly.

You can always call around to a few shops. You can also remove them yourself and get pin-stripe vinyl to stick on. But if you prefer to have it painted on then a shop is your best choice.
If you remove it yourself you can also look for someone who specializes in pin-striping and get them to do some custom work to yours.

Look up "Pin stripe removal tool" You'll see some sort of eraser type products that can be used for that.
