I noticed in a video (https://youtu.be/oE57vu7oqGw?t=2m23s) that this guy has a special tool for pushing the piston back, but mentions you can do it with a socket wrench.

What is this tool called, and is it something worth buying if I am going to do my rear brakes? Normally I could just use a c-clamp to push the piston back but have never done a brake job on such a new car.

Thanks!

Sometimes also know as a Borg tool...

Mine were too stiff for the Borg tool but I found that AutoZone had a full blown brake caliper toolkit for essentially a free loan. I had to deposit the price of the kit, but got it back once I returned it all. Made the job much easier.

Good luck with your repair

our brakes take a special tool to turn the piston vs pushing it. I tried posting a pic but its not working. they run about ten bucks from a parts store. just search brake caliper cube.
Thanks! Are they required then for doing the rear brakes or just option? For $10 it seems like it would be worth the convenience.
