Hi, I’m new to this forum, so don’t jump on me for making a new thread if there’s already a solution to the problem I’m having.
I have a 2007 Pontiac G6 base model, with aftermarket keyless entry, and aftermarket cruise control (from previous owner). One of my hopes for my car is to add an aftermarket radio with a “radio dash kit” (so I can have the stock information thing to check oil life, distance till empty... etc). But I also wanted to maybe add a steering wheel with the radio control buttons on it (I think I have a way to make the cruise control buttons work, but idk, this is just a wish list that I hope to do in the future). To make the buttons on the steering wheel function, would I need to buy a specific wiring harness? Or make my own diy wiring harness? I’m aware I need to buy a converter for the buttons to communicate with whatever aftermarket radio I end up getting, but I’m not sure how the steering wheel buttons will connect with it if I can’t even wiring it correctly.
Plz help me. (Btw this is my first car, and I’m loving it!)
