So I've had my g6 for 6 years, have had pretty good service other then replacing all four wheel bearings and brakes, turn signal switch and collar and sway bar end-link. I can't really complain except I have a steering wheel issue. I already know about the clunk form the intermediate shaft that needs greased. I stay on top of that and that's not my issue. After I drive the car a while, the steering makes a rubbing zipper sound but mostly does it when I'm turning left, I don't ever recall hearing it from turning right. It sounds like it is right where the steering wheel is connected to the steering column. Any clues as to what this may be, how to fix it and is it a safety issue? I've also noticed that a vibrating noise emits from the floor board when turning to the right (separate issue I believe). I'm needing to take a long distance journey and this is the only car I have. Thanks to anyone who can give me anything.
