Took the 06 G6 up to The Zone and come to find out the code said throttle body position sensor was bad. My question is where is it located and since it's a dealer item only (yay!) is there something I should try first before shelling out the 190 price at my local dealer?? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

The last time I replace one of those was on a 95 Grand AM. From what I remember it wasn't hard to do but on the G6 I don't have a clue where its located; then again I haven't looked either.

Shoot. You can get a whole throttle body new for $100-150 (depending on engine size) for new at gmpartsdirect.com. Even cheaper if you go used or do some more searching. The throttle body position sensor is usually a black plastic part located to the side of the throttle body with wires sticking out.
