I'm about to replace the POS Stock tires on the 07 G6, I thought I'd post the researching I've been doing just incase it could help someone else down the road.
I'm going with Falken 912s (225/50/07). I thought about over sizing them for looks (235/50/17) but haven't made up my mind completely. I find discount tires has the best price delivered so thats who I'll be purchasing from.

Here's some of the stuff I've been looking at.

Speed ratings
Q (99mph / 160kmph)
S (112mph / 180kmph)
T (118mph / 190kmph)
H (130mph / 210kmph)
V (149mph / 240kmph)
Z (149+mph / 240+kmph)
W (168mph / 270kmph)
Y (186mph / 300kmph)

The Yoks are a fav of mine. I haven't tried the type you bought but I'll do a little leg work and see. The tires I mentioned above I ran on the Mazda, 10,000 miles later I was still completely happy with them.
On the "912 Falkens", I over sized the tire on the rim and ran about 36-38 psi. The oversize gave the car a fatter stance. I may oversize the tires on the 6 to "235/50/17", dono yet. That will raise the car by about 5/8" and widen the tires by about the same.

BTW, wifie got no say so in this one;)

I have the 912s on the car. They are GREAT on dry/wet pavement...however, as I found out by my trips up to PA this past winter, they SUCK in snow. I'm going to replace them before we go back up next year.

I've heard that through several forums. Being in Louisiana I can leave them on year round. I like'm.
