I would not get an HHR that is not an ss, with that being said go for what everis cheaper but i HHR don't do good on resale due mainly to the fact that the people that want them are the ones that sold them.
Don't worry we'll all be paying for the clunker deal/auto bailout soon enough anyways....Why couldnt Obama be in office back then so the ecomony woulda sucked sooner and I coulda gotten a deal. lol
I've been looking at purchasing an '09 G6 and am close to saying yes, but wondered if any of you could give me some advice. Am looking at a new Midnight Blue w/Taupe leather. Lists for $27,125 and includes the Sun & Sound package and the Premium package. With the $6500 off plus I assume his actual cost on it (so he says and it seems close) I can get it for $19,085. I have an '07 Chevy HHR Premere Edition which he has offered me on the phone, sight unseen $7500. I wrote a note saying if I could get $10k for it, I think I'd do it. I also got a note from GM today that they are upping my GM card bucks to 2 grand. So, I'd trade for $7K. Good deal?
Next, I am used to having fog lights and remote start on my HHR and don't know for sure if they're on this car. Anyone know where they are listed as options? Standard on the GT hopefully?
Are you guys happy with your cars? I have really mixed emotions on this, as I really like my HHR, but with 45k on it, value will drop quickly. I can't get 10 grand off on a car very often. Decisions, decisions, can you shed some light for me?![]()
I'm not sure about US dealers, but the GM Card in Canada only allows so many GM dollars down toward a new vehicle. The maximum on a midsize, in this case the G6, is $1500. Back when I owned my service station until the time I closed it I had hundreds of thousands of travel points, etc, and decided to get a GM card in the hope of getting a new vehicle for free, lol. Man did I forget to read the fine print on that one. After accumulating close to $24000 on the card that I could put toward a vehicle, I find out that the redemption allowance is very minimal: http://www.gm.ca/gm/english/services/gm-card/apply/vehicle-typeI just bought a 2009 G6 3.9l V6 convertible last week with pretty much every option available. The sticker was ~$36,000, I actually paid over $11,000 less with rebates which included the increase on the rebate on my GM card to slightly more then $3000.
So total I got $3000 off sticker, $3000 GM card rebate, and $5000 factory rebate & owner loyalty. And $2200 for the trade on my 2002 Grand Am GT1.
