I have a 2008 G6 and am trying to connect the trailer hitch wiring harness to my tail lights. I have 4 wires: White (ground), Yellow (left turn), Green (right turn) and Brown (tail light). On my tail light wiring I have a Red and a Purple going into the brake/tail light bulb. Which is which?
Example: Yellow wire (left turn) goes to Red or Purple?

I realize that had I bought the pig tails with plug in's for your lights this would have been easier. But I'm trying to go with what I got. Thanks in advance.

Here's the rear lights themselves.
Each taillight has it's own harness, then a connector to the chassis harness,
I recommend splicing into the chassis harness, that way should you have to do anything with the tail lights the hitch wiring won't be in the way.

Black is ground (goes to Lt Green at the light)
Yellow is Left Turn (goes to Purple at the light)
Dark Green is Right Turn (goes to Purple on the light)
Red is the tail light (Brown at the license plate light)

Success!!

Thank you deeply for your reply. The wiring diagram was super helpful.
I ended up having to hard wire the trailer wires into the turn signals, the blue clamps weren't doing the job. But all things are now working great!
