Hi there,
I did an experiment the other night.
I put $30.00 of fuel in the car, approximately 30L.

I reset Trip A to Zero, then noted the fuel range:
436km 'til empty.

By the time it was near empty (enough for the light to come on), I travelled 340km on Trip A.

That's a heck of a variance! What gives??

My theory is that it's calculating what your current mpg is at the time of filling up so when you start driving of course your mpg will constantly go up and down so when your out of gas there's always going to be less total miles btw Dont feel bad I have the 4cyl model and I only get like 22-23 mpg for everyday driving :(

My mileage gas calculator is usually off by around 8-10%. My mileage reads 11 L/100km, and I usually get about 11.8-12.0 L/100km according to how much gas I put in and distance traveled.
My gas light comes on with about 9L left in the tank, so you are not alone

The 436km is if you lived in a perfect world traveling highway speeds non stop. You need to factor in all the car starting stopping, traffic, different speeds, city driving, etc.
