This is on a few other boards, just thought I'd share

2006 Pontiac G6 2.4

Under hood:
Borg Warner S200 series turbo
Tial 38mm wastegate
Tial 50mm bov
CXR intercooler
Siemens 60lb injectors
Custom fabricated header, 2.5" downpipe, i.c. pipes/brackets, & ext dump

Exterior:
Tinted tails
20% tinted windows
Upper recessed grilles
Carbon B-pillars
12k HID's
Tilted hood

Rollers/Susp:
18"Cobalt SS wheels
Nankang tires
Sprint springs

Int/Audio:
AEM wideband
AEM digital boost gauge
Painted gauge bezel
2 12"Rockford P1's
Memphis 500D amp
Relocated battery

The car runs/drives, and is tuned, the only issue with tuning is the ECM not letting the MAF read beyond a certain resolution. So in other words, at about 60Hz the computer stops the MAF and the car does whatever it wants(usually anywhere above 4lbs of boost). Next order of business will be to either re-pin a Cobalt 2.4 ECU to plug into my harness, or reflash our ECU with a Cobalt operating system, seeing as their ECU's will allow way more Hz to be read.

Did you do all the fabrication yourself?

$5k, just in material, right?

Damn son.... Are you actually driving the car now? It must have taken some time to get all that setup and fab'd in place correctly...

No 5k all together, coming up on a year I think. No I didn't fabricate anything, had a guy here locally make it.

I have turbo v-band headers for a 3400, they'll work on an early 3500 G6.

why? he spent 5k and it still doesnt run properly and is still well less powerful than a gtp. just tossin cash away.

i would have rather gone on a few trips to cuba with that kind of cash

Ok, lets start by saying she is no longer my fiance. I broke it off after I had learned she had another full blown relationship with at least one of the guys on G6P. She also hooked up with numerous people during the course of our relationship, needless to say, this car probably will never get done. Seeing as I built it and know exactly what has to happen to get it to run perfect. She knows nothing about this car, other than she wants it to be fast, and that bitch does have enough money, nor can suck a dick good enough to make it happen. She's also about $700 in the hole because of the parts I removed and made her buy them back (as I payed for them anyways).

Now I'm sorry if this hurts your feelings, but that is the DUMBEST statement that I keep hearing over and over again on these forums. It never got finished because it wasn't top priority(wedding,school,FTJ 40+hrs a week), I know what has to be done to finish tuning it. It makes boost, it pulls hard, it's a monster for what it is. I didn't want to build a V6 G6 because 60* V6's too much of a pain in the ass to work on & they're junk (b/c I had one and I work on all my own shit). I'd really like to know what facts you can base that statement on that support your opinion, because you obviously know nothing of what you speak. I'll be the first to say I don't know everything, but I've built/helped build enough turbo cars to know what I'm doing...

There's something that very few take into consideration when doing these type of builds. YOU HAVE TO PAY TO PLAY, I was the first to make somewhat reliable boost on a daily driven G6, to me that's worth every bit of the 5,000 I spent. In the car world you're either rich and spoiled or broke and dedicated.

I too dont claim to know everything. i dont really give a shit you have spent 5k on this turbo 6 lol

what does it come down to? you spent an additional 5k into a base model pontiac g6, and even with this MAJOR performance mod...it still cant out perform other stock g6's ie gtp or gxp.

what is the whole point of turbo?...pump in more power?.....your pumping in 5k for 4psi and its still a slow car...seems like a fail to me.....let me know when you can beat gxps and gtps and THEN id say congrats...as it is....it may as well just be there for the noise. sppppoooooollllll. ugh

Wow dude, ok first off it was last tuned on 7-8psi before the head gasket blew out. I'd rather push it in increments than throw some magical 15 lbs at it. Second, it's not even fully tuned, b/c of factory computer issues so yea, a lot of cars will beat it right now. Third, all the pulls we did were for tuning, not racing, so where exactly did you get the notion that it will still get waxed by these super awesome GTP/GXP's. No one knows any numbers on this car at all. And did you not see the part where it's her car and I'm no longer with her...so yea this is the end of the road pretty much, b/c she doesn't know wtf shes doing...

It's funny, I don't see anyone else doing sh*t about forced induction, and yet almost everyone complains about no one doing anything with it. Also on the same hand they're so quick to shoot my project down thinking they know a better way("bro you shoulda done it with the V6 bro cuz it make moar power") & and compare it to all the V6 models. Sorry but I was shooting for the easiest/quickest/most reliable route to mildly modded Evo/STI/LSX territory, you'd know that if you knew anything about the turbo/fuel components....and the build wasn't done yet....

Still waiting on those facts if you have any, bud....
