I don't know about 'first'
I first posted about this in Jan of last year (01-14-2005) and had a the lockups in December of 2004. I am sure others had a problem before me but they may not post here.
Glad to hear you were able to get out from under the car.. its a serious issue that GM will ignore (as all major companies tend to do until monatary damages reach a certain level). Sadly those of us who have dealt with this will walk away from our G6s knowing how dangerous and REAL this issue is without the general public having a clue.
What is very strange to me is I have yet to see a single 06 owner post about the lockup...that leads me to believe GM does know and fixed it already.
