Hello everyone,
I bought a 2009 "Certified" G6 V6 about a month ago. I have the 100,000 mile GM powertrain warranty plus an addition 4 year bumper-to-bumper warranty. I have noticed since bringing the car home that there was a couple issues.
First, one of the handles in the trunk to release the rear seats are broken. If I had the handle I would just glue it back on. I talked to the lady at my dealership where I bought the car and she said it would be no problem replacing that.
Second, I was impressed my the stock sound system and how much bass it put out. I recently had my 5 month old son in the back seat sleeping so I moved all the sound to the front. Then I was playing around with the volume and moved it all the way to the left and then to the rear only to find out the 6x9 behind the driver does not work. The lady at the dealership said she doesn't know if that will be covered.
Third, when I turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, it doesn't matter if I'm moving forward or reverse, the steering sounds horrible. It sound's like grinding and popping. Almost as if power steering fluid was low. The fluid is not low. This she said is covered for sure. (I already knew that though)
So basically, my question to you all is.. shouldn't the speaker be covered if in fact it was a "certified" used car, i have a bumper-to-bumper warranty, and the speaker has never worked since I've owned the car? It seems to me that if it was "certified", all of that should have been working. She says she might be able to do it as a parts claim which would work for me. I planned on upgrading the entire system (besides tweeters) but I like the way stock speakers sound and they probably work best with stock HU which I also want to replace in the near future. But I think stock may be good for now.
