Water Pump Leaking

is your 3 yr 36,000 warranty still in affect?

just had mine replaced 3 wks ago. wasn't covered under my 5yr powertrain warranty

should be if it's under warranty. the 3 year 100,000 covers bumper to bumper..

mine wasn't. had a 3yr 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty that expired when i was deployed in iraq and i have a 5yr 100,000 mile powertrain warranty that didn't cover it.

well we went on the gm website and it covers the water pump under the 5year/100000powertrain warrenty so we called our dealer and gave them the vin and they said that it was covered so we have an appointment on wednesday and i will let you know how it go on wednesday!

looks like im heading back to the dealership on monday and telling them i want my money back......

just called the service dept at my dealership. it was supposed to be covered. heading back there on monday to get my money back

they probably billed you and GM for the same work because they are supposed to check your vin when you bring it in for service!

2007 61k mine has had a slow leak for about for the last 30k

i had a 36k bumper to bumper from gm and purchased a 5 year 100k when i got the car. so it is costing me $100.00. It took me a long to to figure out what was going on, it was a very slow leak...

Been good so far with teh G6 but my 97 Grand Prix had it go out at 37xxx miles (didn't get the extended warranty) :banghead: -$500 later...

ya the water pump sure IS coverd.......seems like many dealers deny that its under warranty, they lied to my mom and told her that her water pump wasnt coverd so she took it to a private mechanice and GM wouldnt reimburse her cuz it wasnt fixed at the dealership............

i call any GM customer service before i do any thing anymore

I just bought a 2006 G6 for my wife and it's making a whining noise when in park and pressing the gas pedal it goes faster. i believe it to be the water. how do i find out some more information on if i'm covered under warrenty. btw, only had the car one month

This happened to me 3 weeks ago. They wanted to charge me $850 to replace the water pump, but I found it was covered under the power-train warrant, so they fixed it.

I noticed a slow leak under the drivers side. Appears to be water on the driveway. Is the water pump located on this side?

what engine? on LZ4 its pass side.
