What I've done with my work/personal truck is that once its cold and frozen outside, I stop washing it. I leave the frozen salt crap on it. My theory is that once salt comes out onto the roads there really no point in washing. Wet salt will do more harm then frozen salt! During the winter, it will ALWAYS be covered in salt no matter how many times I wash it!

Not too offend anyone here!, but I thought this thread was about winter washing or not too wash. Didn't realize this was the Weather Network.....lol.

LMAO!!!! True, and good for you, for taking my post well! All I ment was that the OP probably wanted more of the Northerner's that live above the salt belt to be posting.......And not how WARM it is down in the South while drinking a Beer or Pina Coladas.....

But CHEERS to all of you that can drink a cold one........Without freezing!lol

There are even small towns 1 1/2 North of Toronto that have Snowmobile parking spaces at the local shopping stores, like Walmart!.....Sometimes, not even a 4x4 is good enough! lol.

O.K. back to topic! If your gonna wash, wash your car often(1-2 times a week), IMO if its less then that, then don't even bother washing it at all.
