I am averaging between 20 and 22 MPG. Mostly city with highway on the weekends. The best I have gotten was my average on driving from San Diego, CA to Minneapolis, MN and I averaged 29.8 MPG!!

Hello all,

I am getting about 17 mpg around town with the 2.4 four. I am fairly easy on it (coasting up to lights and stop signs when I can, easy starts, etc.) and I live in an area with a lot of hills. I still think 17 mpg is a bit low. Any ideas or is that about all I can expect? Our 06 Accord returned about 19-20 mpg under the same conditions, although it was a 5 spd automatic. Car is stock with 13500 miles.

Thanks.

The V6 should get 17 MPG city not the V4 You should be getting 22. It's a little low. Make sure your tires are above 30 psi when cold. Obviously the hills are going to lower your MPG but not much you can do about that.

The Accord is rated at 21. So if that's the case you should be getting better than the 19 you got with your Accord.

Of course it depends on traffic and incline.

I can average around 32-34mpg on the highway, when it's flat.

In the city, average 22. This obviously fluctuates drastically based on traffic. I'm overall satisfied. I have over 41k on the 2006 GT Coupe, and I am still getting sticker or better mpg.

I usually get at least 24mpg city and as high as 43mpg hwy with the lx9 v6. Using all amsoil 5/30 100% synthetic and the low viscosity atf from them as well. I also have high flow intake, headers, catback, and an oil catch can off the pcv line. DO NOT RUN ETHANOL BLENDED FUELS IF YOU WANT MILEAGE (lower BTU output = crappy gas mileage and poor performance). BTW, I'm up in Canada and I know you guys are big on your corn alcohol.

I finally took my 09 gxp on a trip. On the way up to Maine almost 600 miles I averaged 29.8 mpg at an average speed of 65 mph. On the way home I averaged 29.2, forgot to look at average speed but I had heavy rain for about 3 hours. I can't complain as this is about the same or even a little better than my 00 GAGT i had previously.

I have the 3.5l v6, went 420 miles on the first tank which averages out to 26.25 mpg. the computer estimated my mpg at 29.6 with avg speed of 36 mph. I think the computer estimates more on how you are driving, meaning how fast you accelerate. I also used Ethos FR, and no im not endorsing or soilicitating the product. I will run the next tank without to see how the numbers compare.
