I have one in my current vehicle and I could be standing 20 feet away and the stupid thing won't turn on. I also have coworkers who's vehicles are remote started from more than 200 feet away.

I've never really measured it but it works from a fair distance. On mine you have to hit the "Lock Door" button first. Then press and hold the "Start" button for it to work.

the manual says 200ft, but yesterday I tried it from about 150ft and it didn't work.

With an unobstructed view in good conditions, I can get 200ft.

In a parking lot with other cars and crap in the way, usually about 100ft.
