I recently bought 18" rims and the width is 8.5 which means i cant fit 225 tires of the rims, i just wanted to know which tires will fit on the rims. I don't know if the 245/45 will fit or what. All input is appreciated.

Well i went on tire rack and for the 225/50 they only fit wheels up to 8" unless you stretch the tires and im not going to do that. But the 245/45 tires will fir wheels up to 9" i think, or at least 8.5", but i dont know if they will rub.

245/45/18s dont rub on the factory wheels...... it all depend on how the wheels you have were made, if the extra 1.5" were added to the inside of the wheel with not much difference in offset from stock them the prob would rub........

245/45/17

I have stock 17 in rims with 245/45/17 tires. I have no rubbing issue and the car handles great. If you have the 18x8.5 rims you can go with 245/40/18. I have a friend that has that tire size right now and he doesn't have any issues either.
